Malachy Reilly is a Research Associate at MMR Strategy Group. Malachy comes to MMR from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was awarded a fellowship helping research a professor’s book critiquing current economists’ analysis of gender discrimination. In that role, he performed primary literature reviews and managed citations, which provided a deeper perspective on his economics coursework. Malachy also acted as a research assistant for UCSB’s Miller Memory Lab, where he helped design and run experiments examining economic irrationality, metacognition, and risk-related strategies. This researched focused on predictors of neurological and behavioral responses to changes in payment structures. He also assisted in the university’s Close Relationships Lab, where he helped examine the effects of exercise on prosocial behavior.
Malachy earned his B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences and his B.A. in Economics, both with High Honors, from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also made the Dean’s Honors List and participated in the Honors Program for the College of Letters and Science.
