Dr. Justin Anderson is a Vice President at MMR Strategy Group. He is an experienced market research survey expert with a focus on strategic brand management and consumer insights, and litigation research. His research expertise includes brand extension research, segmentation, concept testing, and attitude and usage studies in a wide range of consumer goods and business services industries.
Prior to joining MMR Strategy Group, Justin was a Research Director at Lieberman Research Worldwide, where he led project management, analysis, and client engagement for a wide variety of market research projects. He previously worked as a Senior Research Analyst at BBDO Chicago advertising agency. Justin also served as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Justin is a member of the Non-Traditional Marks Committee of the International Trademark Association. He has authored articles on strategic brand management and brand equity, and has presented his research at conferences of the American Marketing Association. He is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Brand Strategy, and previously served as a reviewer for Marketing Science and Arts Marketing. As a Marketing professor at Cal Poly Pomona and the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Justin taught undergraduate and MBA courses in Marketing Research, Marketing Intelligence, Marketing Strategy, and Consumer Behavior, among others.
Justin earned his PhD in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, where he was recognized with an award for Excellence in Teaching. He holds his MBA from the University of Illinois, where he was awarded a Certificate of Academic Excellence and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. He also received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin, where he was selected to be the cadet commander of his Air Force ROTC training unit and earned the VFW award for General Military Excellence.
