Dr. Alice Chan is a Vice President at MMR Strategy Group. She has over 20 years of experience leveraging quantitative market and marketing research to help organizations across a variety of industries build better brands, products and customer experience, outperform competitors, and drive profitable growth.
Dr. Chan has designed and executed hundreds of sophisticated surveys to deliver research-based consulting to clients in corporate product management, marketing, and customer success, as well as regional and local government. Prior to joining MMR Strategy Group, between representing former employers and her own independent practice, these surveys tapped into the attitudes, preferences, behaviors and experience of current and prospective customers in targeted markets and segments. This research helped her clients drive market development, segmentation, product, brand and customer acquisition and retention strategies, as well as messaging campaigns. As Vice President of Strategy and Market Intelligence at Omnicell, Inc., a healthcare technology company, she designed and oversaw research into all aspects of the company’s existing and prospective markets, competitors and partners. These efforts led to such results as a significant increase in market share and significant product portfolio expansion with award-winning products, earning her two company awards for outstanding contributions.
As an academic, Dr. Chan won research and teaching awards as well. Her inter-disciplinary doctoral dissertation on the early phase of business-to-business e-commerce won an Outstanding Dissertation Award from the Communication and Technology Division of the International Communication Association, one of two major professional associations in her field. She has a passion for leveraging research to build workplaces where both business and people thrive. In her spare time, she is an avid player and fan of tennis.
