Dr. Samantha Kellar is a Senior Research Manager at MMR Strategy Group. She is an experienced social science researcher with expertise in experimental design, survey methodology, qualitative research methods, data collection, and statistical analyses, with a particular focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in organizations.
Samantha’s professional experience includes quantitative and qualitative research examining employees’ thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors within organizations. This includes the development, execution, and analysis of a workplace climate assessment at a large government agency, involving surveys, focus groups, interviews, and ethnographic observation. During her PhD, she was a consultant for The Stereotype Project Foundation, where she provided survey expertise and information about best practices in the field. Her work guided research efforts and helped develop a database aimed at reducing stereotypes in the media. She also consulted with Transdev North America on diversity, equity, and inclusion practices, where she conducted survey research and presented the latest academic research to decision makers. Prior to her PhD, she managed the Behavioral Research Lab at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School
Samantha earned her PhD in Management & Organizations at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson School of Management, where she completed her dissertation entitled “Beyond the Numbers: How Perceptions of Diversity Impact Employee Outcomes and Policy Support.” She has also earned a BS in Psychology. Her work has been published in Perspectives on Psychological Science and Research in Social Issues in Management.
